The DCIS patient booklet is the only free booklet that is specifically for women who have been diagnosed with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ). It helps women and their family members understand that DCIS is much less dangerous than breast cancer. It also provides the information they need to make the treatment choices that are best for them. Printed copies are also available by mail upon request at info@stopcancerfund.org. In addition, our Free Facts about DCIS brochure is available online for free for health professionals or patients seeking scientific data on DCIS treatment options.

The prostate cancer screening booklet is a free booklet that cuts through the confusion about the benefits and risks of PSA screening and other screening tests for men. It is specifically for men who do not have any symptoms of prostate cancer. It explains why many physicians no longer recommend annual prostate cancer screening. The booklet is available online only.

The booklet for women with early-stage breast cancer was developed by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Cancer Institute (NCI) in partnership with the National Center for Health Research and its Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund. It focuses on surgery choices, including mastectomy, lumpectomy, and breast reconstruction. It is no longer in print but is available for free online here.

Did you ever wonder exactly what the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund does? Read our Making a Measurable Difference flyer to find out! It explains how we help patients and families on a personal level, and how we fight for laws and policies that reduce the cost of cancer care and help protect children and adults from ever developing cancer.
